Who am I?

My name is Alina, and I am a professional children’s book illustrator and certified artist with a Master’s degree in Art. I graduated from VGIK (Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography) with a specialization in animation art, where I developed a deep understanding of visual storytelling, character design, and narrative composition.

For many years, I have been creating illustrated worlds for children — warm, imaginative spaces that invite young readers to dream and explore. I believe illustration is a powerful language that helps children connect with stories emotionally and discover beauty and kindness in everyday life.

Alongside my creative work, I have extensive experience as an art educator. Teaching has given me valuable insight into how children see, feel, and interpret visual stories. This understanding allows me to create illustrations that feel authentic, engaging, and emotionally accessible.

I work in watercolor, gouache, and digital techniques, adapting my style to the unique atmosphere of each book. I focus on expressive characters, thoughtful use of color, and clear compositions that gently guide the reader through the story.

I enjoy collaborating with authors, editors, and publishers, and I value open communication and reliability. For me, illustrating a book is not only about visualizing text — it is about creating a world that stays in a child’s heart long after the final page.
